Dinner at the Moderna Hotel in Cherbourg

After a day of work or exploring the Cotentin, enjoy dinner without having to leave the hotel. Every evening, the Moderna offers a catering service in partnership with restaurants in Cherbourg, serving freshly prepared, delicious and varied dishes to enjoy at your leisure on site.

Several 2- or 3-course options are available, with menus updated regularly.

Our partner restaurants

We work with two establishments in Cherbourg:

• Le Café des Halles, with its chef Sébastien Formal, serves generous and inventive cuisine.
  The menu changes every week and is available Monday to Friday. Find the current menu at the hotel reception and on the Café des Halles social media pages.


• Le Café du Port complements our offering with a selection of dishes available 7 days a week.
  The current menu can be viewed directly at the reception.

How do you order dinner?

It’s simple: place your order with the reception before noon. Your meal will then be prepared by the restaurant and delivered directly to the hotel in the afternoon.

In the evening, all you have to do is reheat your meal and enjoy it at your leisure in our dining room or in your room.

This catering service is particularly convenient for our guests travelling to Cherbourg on business, as well as for anyone wishing to enjoy a quiet evening at the hotel after a day of sightseeing or travelling.
